GRIEF-INFORMED CERTIFICATION

INTEGRATING GRIEF CARE INTO YOUR WORK

OUR MISSION

The Grief-Informed Certification Program is designed to help you support your clients through grief and loss. We will take you through the importance of honoring life's journey with grief, and provide you with the language and resources to help your clients navigate their grief as you support them through their milestones and goals. You will learn how to work with clients while they are grieving, and how to incorporate grief into your clients’ healing journey.

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

GRIEF-INFORMED CERTIFICATION PROGRAM

WHAT TO EXPECT

1 / COMMUNITY LEARNING

Together with other coaches, we will meet to learn, brainstorm, create, develop and action plan. We are big advocates of learning inside of  community so that we can be better together. This is a sales-free community that follows the 7 C's of Gathering.

2 / INTIMATE EXPERIENCE

This is an intimate program where you may uncover some of your own losses and grief journeys. I am here to support you through this experience. Sarah's Practice is Trauma-Informed and she is also trained in Mental Health First Aid.

3 / YOUR EVOLUTION

We want to ensure you know how to go out into the world with these resources. Sarah offers additional coaching to help you put this learning into practice.

WHAT YOUR PEERS ARE SAYING

My coaching practice has drastically changed. Clients are coming back to me for support when they need it, I have used these tools and developed my offerings to be unique from teh sea of coaches out there.

YOUR FACILITATOR

Sarah Hines
Founder of Grief Advocacy, Inc.

While building a successful executive career I was also spending much of my spare time volunteering in Home Hospice, getting certified as a Grief Coach and advocating for the importance of grief, loss and death. About 25 years later, after experiencing career burnout, I founded Grief Advocacy with the sole purpose of helping organizations action their corporate culture in the face of adversity. To empower them to stand together when hard things happen, to create more grief-inclusive organizations, and support employees return to work in healthy ways.

I was fortunate enough to continue this work through a group of grief coaches across Canada. Together we built a culture of caring, understanding and honour.  This program is an extension of that work.
